During operation, the sulfur-containing methane enters from the bottom of the desulfurization tower and touches the desulfurization solution in the opposite direction. Hydrogen sulfide is absorbed by the alkali solution, and the purified methane is discharged from the top of the tower. The desulfurized liquid after absorbing hydrogen sulfide becomes rich liquid, flows through the rich liquid tank, is pumped into the regeneration tank, and is mixed with air for regeneration. During this period, sulfur floats on the top of the tank in the form of simple substance and overflows to the sulfur paste tank. After regeneration, the desulfurized liquid becomes lean liquid, and the desulfurized liquid can be recovered. After passing through the lean liquid tank, it is pumped into the desulfurizing tower for continuous desulfurization.
